Oakdene boarding Cattery is a small cattery owned and run by Stephanie Bishop.

Stephanie has been a cat lover from a very early age. Even at the age of 2 every cat she met had to be stroked and talked to. This passion for cats made her career choice an easy one.

Stephanie went into veterinary nursing aged 18 and became a qualified veterinary nurse in 2002. Working in various practices in Hampshire she has gained plenty of experience working with a variety of animals but her passion has always been caring for cats

Known in practice as 'the cat wrangler' she was regularly called upon to deal with the more fractious cats to reduce stress and prevent injury to everyone involved.

Stephanie's dream to have her own boarding cattery began in her teens and has been well researched and planned over the years. Oakdene cattery is, therefore, her dream come true. With a passion for animals she and husband/part time cattery maid, Rob, share their home with 10 cats and 2 border collies - Max and Patch - who take their duties as cattery guard dogs very seriously. There will always be a cat or two around to greet any visitor.
